Education Foundation for BPS:Money from the SUV Raffle in 2023 supported Classroom Grants in hundreds of classrooms across SD2, Books for Kids, the Munch Machine mobile food program and much more!
Group Participants:The groups who raised money through the SUV Raffle last year invested their funds in new technology, books, science and STEM learning opportunities, cross community building and construction projects, musical instruments, field trips and SO much more!
2022: Winner: Tim B. Funds Raised for Education: $78,500
Examples of how 2022 Funds were used:
Education Foundation for BPS: Some examples of how the Education Foundation used the funds were to Classroom Grants impacting more than 1,400 classrooms and every single student in the district, support literacy through Books for Kids and Reading Rocks getting more books in the hands of children and support for other Foundation programs including Kids in Motion, Food Insecurity Programs, and more.
Group Participants: Funds were used to enhance science classrooms, purchase books. fund travel for sport and academic competitions, gear and equipment for both playgrounds and schools, and more!
2021: Winner: Tressa A. Funds Raised for Education: $79,000
Examples of how 2021 Funds were used:
Education Foundation for BPS: Some examples of how the Education Foundation used the funds were to Classroom Grants impacting more than 120 classrooms, technology updates and investment district wide, and investment in the BackPack Meals, Teen Pantry and Elementary Pantry programs ensure students facing food insecurity are well-fed.
Group Participants: Some groups used the funds raised to participate in travel competitions, both for sports and academics. Others used the funds to purchase playground equipment, to support expanded curriculum offerings, and too add or update equipment in music departments.
2020: Winner: Hulan E. Funds Raised for Education: $87,260

Education Foundation for BPS: Some examples of how the Education Foundation used the funds were to purchase snowshoes for elementary health enhancement at a school, an ultrasound machine for use in the Med Careers program at the Career Center, technology updates and investment district wide, and a hydroponic garden at an elementary school to improve hands-on learning.
2019: Winner: Tina B. Funds Raised for Education: $62,300
Examples of how 2019 Funds were used:
West High French Club: Thank you for your work on this project that helps so many groups. In addition to our ongoing French Club activities, part of our proceeds go to fund a scholarship to a student continuing in French in college.
Senior High Wrestling: We were able to use the funds to purchase 2 piece warm-ups for kids on the team. We are already planning to participate again next year and use the funds to help kids attend wrestling camp.
